College of Agriculture discusses a Ph.D. dissertation on hydraulic functions

 Wednesday 16th November /2022

College of Agriculture University of Anbar discussed this morning, Ph.D. dissertation tagged (Estimation of some hydraulic functions of different soils in their gypsum and clay content treated with some improvers. Student Raghad Batia Thanoon, Department of Soil and Water Resources Sciences, and the committee consisted of:

Prof. Dr. Salloum Barghouth Saleem College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences - University of Baghdad / Chairman

Prof. Dr. Namir Taha Mahdi College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences - University of Baghdad / member

Prof. Dr. Bassamulden Al-Khatib Hisham College of Agriculture - University of Anbar / Member.

Prof. Dr. Wathib Shukri Shaker College of Agriculture - University of Anbar / Member.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Huthaifa Jassim Muhammad College of Agriculture - University of Anbar / Member.

Prof. Dr. Issam Khudhair Hamza / College of Agriculture - University of Anbar / member and supervisor.

The study aimed to find out the relationship between the percentage of gypsum in the soil and the water functions (hydraulic conductivity, diffusivity, cumulative infiltration, permeability and sorption).

The researcher recommended the necessity of adjusting the proportions of gypsum in the soil to increase the stability of the soil.

After extensive discussion by the committee members, the thesis was accepted after making the corrections recommended by the discussion committee... congratulation to the student and the supervisor.... Blessing for discussion committee, student and the supervisor.
