College of Agriculture discusses a master's thesis on Isolation and identification of some fungi associated with cowpea root rot disease The College of Agriculture at the University of Anbar discussed this morning, in the presence of Professor Dr. Cowpea Roots) by the student Ahmed Jassem Awwad in the Plant Protection Department. The aim of the thesis was to isolate and identify fungi associated with cowpea root rot disease in some governorates of Iraq.

Researcher recommended Paying attention to cowpea root rot disease through good management of agricultural soils, as the cause is a soil fungus.

Expanding the use of plant extracts (pomegranate peels, wild mint, bitter melon) as they have proven efficient in disease resistance and encouraging their use as alternatives to pesticides.

After extensive discussion by the committee members, the thesis was accepted after making the corrections recommended by the discussion committee... Congratulations to the student and the supervisor.
