The students of the fourth stage / Department of Soil Sciences and Water resources, conducted a scientific trip within the lesson of Irrigation / the practical part, accompanied by  Prof. Dr. Wathib Shukri Shaker, theoretical teacher, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hudhaifa Jassim Muhammad practical teacher and Asst. Prof. Ahmad Riyadh, where a number of irrigation facilities were visited and irrigation systems with pivot and fixed sprinklers were examined. The students got a useful scientific information about fixed and pivot sprinkler irrigation systems, in addition to recognition the parts of these systems and how they work. This visit comes within the directions of the Soil Sciences and Water Resources Dept. to increase the practical skills of students in this field and in implementation of the plan of the Deanship of the College of Agriculture to graduate agricultural engineers trained in a manner that qualifies them to engage in the labor market.
