Research Team of Soil Sciences and Water Resources / College of Agriculture / University of Anbar products medical shiitake at Labs College of mushrooms. It is worth mentioning that this mushrooms monopolized by Japanese companies and medicine factories to product and sell it, but by efforts of our sciences and for the first time this team could product by local abilities 100%.

This achievement is a part of project for Ph.D. student at the department of soil sciences and water resources Mohammad Barakat, his dissertation entitled (Production of medicinal shiitake mushrooms and its role in the decomposition of local organic wastes, testing of biological efficacy and evaluating farm residues as bio-fertilizer) Supervised by Prof. Dr. Idham Ali Abed and Prof. Dr.  Jamal Salah Hmoud.
