Assist. Prof. Dr. (Osama Hussein Mahdi), head of the Department of Field Crops in our college, was participated in the dissertation committee of a master's student (Abeer Hazem Abed) in the College of Education for Pure Sciences/ Biology Department about her thesis entitled ((Evaluation of the effectiveness of active substances in the roots of some medicinal plants using GC_MS technique to measure the effectiveness of Antioxidants)) on Wednesday 7/7/2021.The objective of the thesis is to estimate the effectiveness of enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants for the roots of capers, sorrel and dandelion and to study the phenomenon of biochemical antagonism of the three root extracts.

After scientific discussion by the committee members with the student about the topic, the thesis was accepted.
