Within the cultural and scientific season of the Department of Soil Sciences and Water Resources for the first semester of the year 2021-2022 and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Waqas Mahmoud Abdel Latif, head of the department, and Prof. Dr. Farhan Mohammad Jassim who responsible for the seminars for doctoral students and the academic staff in the department. Postgraduate student (PhD) Iyad Khalaf Mohammad presented a seminar entitled “The Expansion of the Risk of Desertification on the Agricultural Districts in Anbar Governorate”, Which is among the requirements of the first semester for PhD and Master’s students. Student gave a detailed explanation about the danger of desertification and its effects on soil and agricultural lands and how to limit its expansion and reduce its risks. During the seminar, a detailed discussion has been token, in which the professors of the department who hold high scientific titles, as well as graduate students, participated
