A viva exam was held in the college of agriculture, where Ph. D student (Ali Sabri Rejab) defended his thesis entitled (Relationship of genetic phenotypes and expression of Cyp19 gene to the performance buffaloes in Iraq). The viva committee was:

The aim of this study is to identify the genetic polymorphism of the Cyp19 gene in a sample of local buffaloes in central Iraq using sequencing technology and to extract the distribution ratios of those features and their allelic frequencies in order to find the effective combinations or alleles that affect some economic traits in Buffalo after adjustment for the effect of fixed factors.

The study aimed to discover and estimation the addition of artificial antioxidants (vitamin E) and different levels of natural antioxidants (rosemary leaves) in the ration of broilers, and to compare them in the productive and some physiological traits. In addition to compare between the addition in the diet and the addition of the dried water and alcohol extract directly to the minced breast meat, and in its ability to protect the meat of broilers throughout the period of cold storage (4 ° C) by measuring the states of antioxidants and the qualitative characteristics of the minced breast meat.

Results were important in such field of study and valuable.
