On Tuesday morning, 27/11/2018, started at the College of Physical Education and Sports Science  the suburb running for the second year respectively. It was organized by the college under the direct supervision and follow-up by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Muwaffaq Asaad Al-Heeti.

     A number of the academic staff of the college, its employees, and its students participated in this race. It started from the gate of the university and on the road around it, as the assistant instructor Mohammed Ghazi won the first place concerning the academic staff, Mr. Qusay Rasheed won the first place of the employees, and Salah Khalid won the first place of the students. The establishment of such events is to bridge the relationship between the academic staff, employees, and students of the college, giving a positive impression and instilling love and harmony among them.

     Al-Heeti said that we are determined to establish sports events in all their forms and to promote the sports of the university and the governorate. He confirmed that the sports today is the best guide for peace among peoples. We convey our voice , through such events, to the whole world that we are a country of peace, security, and safety. In their turn, the academic staff, employees, and students of the college thanked the Dean for this valuable initiative and they are determined to repeat such events and sports activities, asking the Almighty to maintain security and safety in our Iraq, our governorate, and our university. In the end, the awards were distributed by the Dean and some of the academic staff to the winners.
