Conclusion of a course (recycling plant waste for the production of organic fertilizers)


In continuation of the series of scientific and training courses held by the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre/ Human Resources Development Department and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Centre at the Presidency of the University of Anbar, and under the supervision of the Director of the Centre, Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, the course tagged: (Recycling plant waste for the production of organic fertilizers), which lasted for three days for the period 3-5/3/2024, was concluded on Tuesday, 5/3/2024.

The course was attended by (Assistant Professor Dr. Moneer Naji Ahmed) and (Instructor Dr. Saad Jabbar Hofi), which included a talk about the production of organic fertilizers and humic acids from aquatic plants (reed, papyrus and Champlain), and the method of producing compost and humic acids from aquatic plants, in addition to identifying humic acids (Humic Substance), and most importantly, the most important steps of manufacturing compost were addressed.

The course witnessed the presence of the centre’s researchers and a number of faculty and researchers from colleges and research centres at the university, and the course included some questions in different axes about plant waste recycling, which concluded with a test in the topics that were presented in the course for all participants.
