Scientific webinar

 

The department of Food Science, College of Agriculture at the University of Anbar held a webinar entitled “ Anti Nutritional Factors”, in which Mrs. Fadwa Waleed Abdulqahar Al-Kubaisi, a lecturer in the Department of Food Science /University of Anbar, delivered the lecture. During the workshop, the lecture reviewed the concept of anti-nutritional factors and the reasons for their presence in foods, the types of foods commonly found in them in abundance, the methods of classifying them, and their classes and types accordingly. She also listed many types commonly found in foods consumed on a daily basis, the health problems resulting from eating them on the one hand, and their expected benefits on the other. The lecture showed effective ways to limit the intake of these compounds, and how to assess the extent of their danger to the individual in order to prevent those health risks related to the daily diet.
