As part of the follow-up plan for graduate students in the Department of Horticulture and Landscaping for their research projects to determine the stages of completion, the graduate students presented two..

Doctoral student Raghad Imad Yahya presented a seminar entitled: Induction of Genetic Variations to Understand Water Stress of Two Varieties of Strawberry by Using Chemical Mutagenesis in Vivo, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Shamel Esmaiel Neema. The student explained during the seminar the importance of obtaining genotypes  resistant to water stress using genetic mutations by using the  technique of plant tissue culture. A discussion took place, in which the professors of the department who hold high scientific titles, as well as the postgraduate students in the department, participated.

A master's student Ruqayya Kazem Rashid presented a seminar entitled The Effect of Glutathione and Gibberellin in Enhancing the Physiological and Biochemical Characteristics of Callus Cultivation of Eggplant Plants under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Shamil Ismail Nehme. saline. The student clarified the importance of using plant tissue culture in the production of growing callus cultures in the conditions of salt stress.
