.A viva of master thesis in Horticulture Land scape

A viva exam was held in the college of agriculture in presence of the college dean Prof. Dr. Idham Ali Abed, where MSc. student (Omer Saeb Sarhan) defended his thesis entitled (The Effect of Foliar Spraying with Boric Acid and Seaweed Extract on Growth and Yield of Chemlali Olives). The viva committee were:

1.    Proff. Dr Rasmi Mohamed Hamad / chief of the committee - internal examiner

2.    Assist. Prof. Dr.  Ahmad Mohammed Hasan ./ external examiner

3.    Assist. Prof. Dr.  Atheer Mahmood Ismail / internal examiner

4.    Prof. Dr. Hameed Hamdan Alali  / supervisor

The study aimed at the effect of foliar feeding of Olives with Boron and Seaweed extract on high-oil Olive trees, cultivar Chemlali, in order to improve the characteristics of vegetative growth and nutritional status of the tree and increase the fruit set that will be positively reflected on the yield, as well as improving the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the fruits.

Results were important in such field of study and valuable Thesis accepted with minor corrections congratulations for the student and his supervisor.
