Monday 20. September. 2021

A viva exam was held in the college of agriculture in presence of the college dean Prof. Dr. Idham Ali Abd, where MSc. Student Mohammed Jalil Habib defended his thesis entitled Testing several genotype newly derived from wheat Triticum durum under different seed quantities and selecting the appropriate ones. The viva committee was:

1- Prof. Dr. Ziyad Ismail Abed - University of Baghdad/ chief of the committee - External examiner.

2- Assist. Prof.  Dr. Daoud Salman Meddeb / Tikrit University/ External examiner

3- Assist. Prof. Dr. Omar Hazem Ismail / University of Anbar/ internal examiner

4- Prof. Dr. Muhammad Awaid Ghadeer / University of Anbar / supervisor

The study aimed to know the best genotypes included in the study in terms of their suitability and response to the conditions of the agricultural region and giving them the highest productivity per unit area. As well as determining the appropriate plant density for each of these genotypes to achieve the highest productivity.

The researcher recommended using the genotype (Babel-32) because of its superiority in most of the studied traits, as well as using the plant density (180 kg.ha-1) for its superiority in most of the traits.

The results were promising and important, Thesis accepted with minor corrections.

Congratulations for the student and his supervisor
