(Management of surface water resources in Anbar governorate under water scarcity and pollution)

Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Alawi Sulaiman, Head of the Department, conducted a research paper on the management of surface water resources in Anbar province, in light of the major health and pollution challenges faced by Iraq's water sector in general and in Anbar province in particular.

The study of the researcher on the use of methods of integrated water resources management and the use of modern technologies in the exploitation of available water for the cultivation and exploitation of vast areas of land in the province and the adoption of modern technologies to preserve water from evaporation and erosion. The study pointed out that there is urgent need for a major review of the manner in which water resources are managed in the province where we reconcile the available water resources and the demands of different uses of water in light of the global water crisis expected in the coming years, especially in the Euphrates basin.
