future plans:

Due to the recent development of the field of medical education, the unit concerned with it (the Medical Education Unit) has a long and arduous road ahead of it, and only the first steps have begun now. The most important of which is playing a major role in developing the level of education and learning through programs for preliminary studies to achieve an acceptable level for the Iraqi doctor (known for many years for his diligence, intelligence, and hard work) to provide health services that are identical to those in developed countries and to achieve the conditions of international accreditation for the college. These activities include holding multiple workshops and lectures to introduce new ideas in the curriculum New information to be explained to faculty members and students alike. In addition to clarifying the features of the medical curriculum, suiting and matching the characteristics of Iraqi society, its environment, and its health needs, and not just copying the experience and strategy of other universities.

The Medical Education Unit seeks to implement programs to link education with basic health needs so that the doctor is able to identify and confront community health problems and adopt educational programs that focus on health priorities and primary health care axes. Working to achieve long-term continuing medical education strategies, continuous evaluation strategies for doctors, and achieving partnerships that encourage the development of new technologies to advance medicine. Preparing the provision and development of postgraduate programs to qualify cadres with distinguished competence, while conducting continuous research programs directed primarily to confront the health problems and needs of society.
