Scientific symposium: The role of the pharmacist in nutrition

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy (Prof. Dr. Zeina Muhammad Al-Sabti), the first scientific symposium for the Clinical Pharmacy Branch was held as part of the scientific events and activities for the academic year 2022-2023 in cooperation with the Department of Pharmacy in the Anbar Health Department, entitled:

The symposium began with a fragrant recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran, after which an opening speech was given by the Dean of the College (Prof. Dr. Zeina Muhammad Al-Sabti), in which she welcomed the attendees, distinguished guests of t

 

his scientific symposium. Then an introductory video presentation about the college was presented, and then the scientific session of the symposium began. Which was headed by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs (A.M.D. Atheer Khalaf Zaghir), the esteemed, and (M.M. Mahmoud Majed Suleiman), the esteemed, as its rapporteur.

 

The scientific symposium, which was held in the conference hall of the College of Pharmacy, included two scientific lectures:

 

·        The first lecture entitled: Total Parenteral Nutrition, delivered by the specialist pharmacist (Bashar Rahoumi Rajab) / Anbar Health Department - Pharmacy Department.

 

·        The second lecture, entitled: Diabetic Nutrition, delivered by Dr. Othman Makki Saghir, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Branch, College of Pharmacy/University of Anbar.

 

 

 

In addition to the Honorable Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs (Professor Israa Adnan Abdel-Jalil), the heads of the branches, the college’s teachers and members, and the doctors and pharmacists of the Anbar Health Department, the symposium was honored by the presence of the distinguished guests, who are:

 

1.     D. Diyaa Habar, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad.

2.     D. Mahmoud Shaker Khazal, representative of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate / General Headquarters.

3.     D. Abdul Razzaq Hamid, head of the Anbar Pharmacists Syndicate.

4.     D. Bashar Rahoumi, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Division / Anbar Health Department.

5.     D. Muhammad Hamid, Director of the Pharmacy Department, Eng. Women and children.

6.     D. Mushtaq Talib, Clinical Pharmacy Division Officer, Eng. Women and children.

7.     D. Mwafaq Shaaban Al-Ani M. Women and children.

 

There were many discussions and interventions from the attendees, which enriched the topic of the symposium with many ideas and suggestions.

 

At the conclusion of the symposium, a number of attendees and lecturers were honored with certificates of appreciation and letters of thanks and appreciation presented by the Deanship of the College in gratitude and appreciation for their efforts in making the symposium a success and enriching the themes of the symposium.

 

In conclusion, the Dean of the College extended her thanks and appreciation to all those present and those responsible for the success of this symposium, and then she went, accompanied by the distinguished guests, to the opening ceremony of the Teaching Club, which was recently established in the College of Pharmacy.
