Duties of the Quality Assurance Coordinator in the Scientific Department

 

The Quality Assurance Coordinator in the department represents the link between the head of the Quality Assurance Division in the college on the one hand and the faculty members and students of the department on the other hand, and is in direct contact with them in the department. The duties of the Quality Assurance Coordinator in the department are summarised as follows:

1.   Ensure that all guidelines and directives issued by the Director of the University Quality Assurance Department through the Quality Assurance Division in the college are communicated to all faculty members and students in the department.

2.   Monitoring the progress of the components of the quality assurance process, such as the student satisfaction questionnaire, the evaluation of the professor's portfolio, and the continuous academic development of faculty members in accordance with the controls and directives.

3.   Providing seminars and training workshops for faculty members in the department related to quality assurance of teaching and learning.

4.   Providing the Quality Assurance Division at the college with the necessary reports and statistics annually on the quality assurance process and evaluating the performance of faculty members in the department.

5.   Ensure and monitor the use and application of all the tools (appendices and guidelines) of the Bologna Pathway by the department and faculty members.

6.   Participate with the scientific committee in the department in monitoring and ensuring that faculty members apply Formative Assessment in accordance with the guide and controls and report this to the Director of the Quality Assurance Division at the college.
