Within the scientific activities of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Centre and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Centre at the Presidency of the University of Anbar, two courses were held during the past week and the present for the centre's staff, one of which concluded an exam on Sunday, 7/5/2023, the course tagged (AutoCAD Level I program), which lasted for five days in our centre, The course was lectured by Assistant Lecturer Saif Saad Mansour, with the participation of twenty-one of the center's staff, and this course included practical training, as the AutoCAD program is one of the most important and extensive drawing and design programs using the computer, which can be employed for design and mapping according to the requirements of personal or official desire, such as designing laboratories, hospitals and parks, developing a map of cities with specific specifications and other designs within the requirements as needed.

As for the second course, which was entitled: "Laboratory Safety", which began this week, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Arshad Ali and Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Badie Farhan lectured, the course included the types of chemicals, how to deal with them and the correct ways to store them, and also during the course the warning signs of chemicals, biological materials and personal safety tools were identified, and during the course he reviewed the requirements for the design and requirements of laboratories according to the four levels of laboratory protection against biological risks according to the specifications of  World Health Organization in addition to general laboratory instructions and guidelines that must be adhered to by laboratory workers.
