Scientific seminar on how to implement the scientific research skills development programme for postgraduate students

 

 

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology held a scientific seminar entitled: (How to choose Journals For Publication) on Monday, 12-2-2024, at the college hall (Al-Khwarizmi Hall).

The seminar, which was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr Khattab Maajel Ali, sought to increase the skills of graduate students from various faculties of our university, overcome technical obstacles and research issues that may face them during their research career and arm them with the skills they need to write their scientific theses and dissertations, as this seminar included a series of guidelines, instructions and ways to find a sober scientific journal that enable graduate students to acquire skills in sober scientific publication, and the seminar was represented by recommendations that promote sober scientific publication in scientific journals. This seminar also showed that all seminars, workshops and training courses were conducted by qualified teachers and researchers who have extensive experience in the field of scientific research and the use of modern methods of education and training. In this programme, the master's student will be required to meet (30) units during the research phase, and the doctoral student (60) units during the two years of research and the postgraduate student will be awarded a certificate of participation confirming the completion of the required units as well as a certificate of participation for each workshop.
