Within the framework of the scientific curriculum followed by the College of Computer Science and Information Technology and under the auspices of the Dean of the College (Prof. Dr. Salah Awad Salman), the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the College held a scientific workshop entitled (Gender Justice within a Legal and Social Perspective) in the College Hall (Al-Khwarizmi) on Thursday, corresponding to 12/7/2023, where it was delivered by the honourable guest, Professor Dr. Akram Obaid Freih, a lecturer at the College of Islamic Sciences.
During the workshop, he touched on justice in terms of Sharia and society, the role of women in society and their significant impact on the individual in particular, the family, and society in general, and their right to equality. Important topics were discussed regarding their right to work and their pioneering role within society.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a number of female employees and teachers at the college were honoured for their effective and important role in the work environment and society.
