Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, a scientific symposium entitled Instructions for Effective Postgraduate Studies was held, which was delivered by the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Professor Dr. Essam Taha Yassin, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Sobhi Abdel Ghafour. During the symposium, the most important ministerial orders and approved instructions related to postgraduate students were presented, starting from the student’s acceptance until his graduation until he obtains the university order granting the certificate, passing through the instructions for electronic access and the integrity of scientific journals. The necessity of choosing reputable scientific journals and the correct publishing mechanism and avoiding fake websites and cases of fraud, theft, and fraud to which some researchers are exposed during publication was also emphasised.
