This morning, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, a medical delegation representing the committee for activating the role of artificial intelligence in the College of Medicine visited; Department of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology. They were received by the Dean of the College, the respected Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, the heads of scientific departments, the assistants, and the teaching staff in the Artificial Intelligence Department. They met with the delegation consisting of (Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Mustafa Murshid - Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Mukhlef Mashalesh - Dr. Muthanna Louay Jassim).

Several main axes were discussed in depth to outline the prospects for joint cooperation between the two colleges in several fields, especially in the field of scientific research and its development using artificial intelligence techniques that can be used to analyze and classify data as well as diagnose various diseases.

The delegation also discussed the possibility of joint cooperation in supervising postgraduate students whose research topics focus on medical and health care, as well as cooperation in the field of seminars and workshops whose topics focus on the use of information technology and computers. These axes that were discussed will be framed to represent the official framework for joint and constructive cooperation between the colleges of one university, and at the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue communication to activate the main axes of the agreement.
