The College of Computer Science and Information Technology, under the generous patronage of its Dean, Prof. Salah Awwad Salman, held the first test of the Quranic competition in conjunction with the College of Islamic Sciences, the College of Administration and Economics and the College of Arts, to recite and memorise the Holy Quran on Tuesday 27-2-2024, in Al-Khwarizmi Hall, in the presence of a number of guests, professors and students of the college, as the competition aims to promote the love of the Holy Quran in our dear students and develop their Quranic abilities, encourage its memorisation and teach participants the rules of tajweed and practical application of it.

The competition included active participation from various departments and colleges. The competition started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then the judging committee started judging the recitation of the Holy Quran and the contestants started reciting the Holy Quran successively, and at the end of the competition, certificates of appreciation were distributed by the Dean to the attendees.
