Anbar University Council, the sixth meeting for the academic year 2020/2021

 Anbar University Council holds its sixth session for the 2020/2021 academic year

The Anbar University Council held its sixth session for the academic year 2020/2021 today, Thursday, 3/4/2021, at the Council’s meeting room headed by the President of the University, Prof. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, respected and attended by all members of the Council.

In the beginning, the President of the University welcomed all the attendees and extended his congratulations to the academic family in Iraq in general and at Anbar University in particular on the occasion of Teacher's Day corresponding to 3/1/2021, appreciating the role of the university's teaching staff in light of the spread of the Corona pandemic and the experience of e-learning.

The President of the University, in the name of the Council, congratulated the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Khalil Salman Al-Hadithi, on his recovery and the success of the surgery that he performed, and his return to attend the council sessions with the rest of his fellow members of the Council.

The President of the University prayed to God Almighty to have mercy on those who died among the university’s employees and their families, and extended his condolences to the academic family at the university in general and in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, especially on the death of the former faculty dean, Prof. Ali Obaid Muheisen, praying to God Almighty to cover him with the breadth of his mercy. His Excellency also offered his condolences to the Director of the Legal Affairs Department, Dr. Ahmed Odeh, on the death of his mother, and he had just lost his father and prayed to God to have mercy on the deceased and to inspire their families with patience.

The council hosted the winners of the first professor title at the university, namely: Prof. Jamal Hashem Dhoeb, from the College of Education for Human Sciences, is the first professor in humanities specializations, and Prof. Omar Shihab Hamad / College of Science, the first professor in scientific specializations, and they were honored and awarded a certificate of appreciation in the name of the Council.

For their part, the two aforementioned teachers thanked the President of the University and the members of the Council for this generous gesture, and emphasized their continuing efforts and giving.

The Council also hosted each of:

1. Mr. Associate Director of Student Affairs and Registration Department to discuss topics related to student affairs and primary studies. A statistic prepared by the department was presented on admission to preliminary studies for the academic year 2020/2021, and the admission plan for the next academic year 2021/2022 according to the number of students expected to graduate from the preparatory study for this The year.

2. The Director of the Department of Postgraduate Affairs to discuss some matters related to postgraduate studies. Statistics prepared by the department were presented on the number of students who were accepted in the current academic year 2020/2021, and the admission plan for the next academic year 2021/2022..

3. The Director of the Construction and Projects Department to discuss some issues related to the department's work, and a Power Point presentation was made by the Department of Construction and Projects in the Ministry on the projects planned to be completed and clarifying some of the laws and instructions related to the completion of projects in all the Ministry's formations and so on.

Then the President of the University presented the most important things that were discussed in the first meeting of the opinion committee for the year 2021, held on 2/18/2021, of the minister's directives and the decisions taken at the meeting.

Then the President of the University presented the directives of his Excellency to the members of the Council.

After that, the Council dealt with the topics on the session’s agenda and appropriate recommendations and decisions were taken regarding them. Among the topics discussed were the recommendation to create postgraduate programs in some colleges, and the approval of extending the service of two teaching staff from the university who are known for their competence and the need for their services by their faculties.

A blessed constellation of university teachers was promoted to the rank of professorship, and the President of the University on behalf of the Council congratulated the faculty who had been promoted.
