Interest in scientific affairs in universities is one of the most important ways that will develop the scientific level of universities and is also considered one of the most important pillars for the development of the scientific movement of the country, so the Research and Development Division has emerged as a scientific body concerned with the joints that will develop the university, the teacher and the researcher with regard to scientific affairs, as it includes interest in scientific promotions for the teacher and researcher with regard to the scientific affairs of the teacher through follow-up and supervision of scientific promotions in universities and the issuance of instructions and laws that regulate scientific promotions In higher education institutions, it also includes follow-up and supervision of the movement of scientific publishing in Iraqi universities, which includes the issuance of scientific journals, the publication of research in international journals, the adoption of scientific journals for the purposes of scientific promotion, and the unit is also interested in other scientific affairs of universities, such as scientific reports and the preparation of studies that will develop scientific prospects for all members of higher education.
Mission
Reaching the best level in accomplishing the tasks of the college branches, upgrading the scientific level, and following up the completion of all workshops, conferences, seminars and seminars held in the college based on the instructions and controls approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
Aims
Promoting and consolidating scientific research, encouraging and motivating teaching and research staff to raise the level of research work in the college and follow up the distinguished intellectual production of literature, patents and other forms of distinguished production.
Tasks
• Follow up the scientific research plan for teachers and issue endorsements for it.
• Follow up the plan of conferences, seminars and workshops and issue endorsements in them.
• Organizing the accreditation of scientific journals for teachers and graduate students in the college.
• Unifying and following up the curricula and vocabulary for preliminary and postgraduate studies.
• Follow-up issues of sabbatical for the purpose of conducting scientific research or giving lectures to and from the college.
• Follow-up of books authored badly as a scientific source or a systematic book and according to the instructions.
• Circulate all instructions, directives and decisions to the scientific departments, divisions and administrative units in the college regarding scientific issues and ensure compliance with them.
• Completion and follow-up of the study leave plan for the employees of our college.
• Work monthly to unify and audit and raise the government program and qualitative achievements to the university on paper and electronically.
• Coordination with the Scientific Promotions Unit in the college regarding the endorsement of the activities of professors and as required by the promotion treatment.
