Synergy between vitamin D3 and biochemical parameters in patients with COVID - 19

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the relationship between plasma biomarkers including (ferritin- D dimer- PCT- leukocytes- C-reactive protein) with disease severity as well as to distinguish between viral and bacterial infections and to investigate the potential role of vitamin D3 in the innate immunity of COVID-19 patients.

The study resulted that the increase in the level of some biomarkers such as (ferritin – D-dimer - PCT - interleukin-6 - C-reactive protein - white blood cells) in Covid-19 patients and the levels were higher in the severe case and a decrease in the lymphocyte level in Covid-19 patients and it was Levels are lower in severe cases. Vitamin D3 is normal in healthy people, as well as in light injuries, and the value of vitamin D3 decreases with the severity of corona infection.
