Design and Manufacturing of a Solar Dryer at the Centre of Renewable Energy

This project was divided into two parts; the first part includes the design of the solar dryer, while the second part is to conduct results from the installed measurement devices. This study aims to design and manufacture two solar dryers. Dryers A and B can be functioned in the field of heating and drying. A consists of a flat absorbent panel, while B comes with an absorbent panel but with fins to impede the air flow. Thus, increasing heat gain will result better performance for both dryers.

For quality measurement, different speeds have been tested for the air puller, which is fixed at the compound exit. Such measurements can show the differences in temperature for the two samples in order to ensure the temperature spread across the air flow pipe. 

In fact, building a solar dryer within the severe weather of Al Anbar will not be safe. For this reason, the University students and researchers have had to conduct different test results to ensure functionality of the system.
