Prof. Yasir Mufeed completed his primary medical education at the College of Medicine, Baghdad University, Iraq between 1991 and 1999. After a two-year general medical internship in the Iraqi Ministry of Health, he was transferred to Anbar University and assigned as a teaching assistant at the College of Medicine Anbar University between 2002 and 2004. During that period, he was assigned the Medical Microbiology Laboratory in the college. In 2004 he joined the Iraqi association of Medical Specialties to finish his degree in the Pathology department, in 2009, he graduated with a Subspecialty in Clinical Microbiology and Immunity. Since 2010, Prof. Yasir Mufeed has served as a Specialist in Gynecology, Obstetrics & Children Hospital Anbar, he was also assigned as the Head of the Microbiology & Biotechnology Department. Besides his clinical duties, Prof. Yasir Mufeed has pursued an extensive academic career, including teaching undergraduate medical and pharmacy students and supervising postgraduate Master candidates in diagnostic Microbiology & Immunology. In 2012, Prof. Yasir Mufeed was appointed as the Head of the Clinical Laboratory Department at Pharmacy College/ Anbar University. In 2019 he was assigned the head of the Clinical Pharmacy department.
Socially, Prof. Yasir Mufeed is married and has three daughters. His outdoor hobbies are Billiard and Cycling. He speaks two different languages besides his Arabic native language.
