Biography

Yasir M Abdulateef M.B.Ch. B, FICMS,

     Assistant  Prof. Yasir Mufeed completed his primary medical education at the College of Medicine, Baghdad University, Iraq, between 1991 and 1999. After completing a two-year general medical internship at the Iraqi Ministry of Health, he was transferred to Anbar University, where he served as a teaching assistant at the College of Medicine/ University of Anbar from 2002 to 2004. During that period, he was assigned to the Medical Microbiology Laboratory in the college. In 2004, he joined the Iraqi Association of Medical Specialties to finish his degree in the Pathology department. In 2009, he graduated with a Subspecialty in Clinical Microbiology and Immunity. Since 2010, Prof. Yasir Mufeed has served as a Specialist in Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Children's Hospital at Anbar. He was also assigned as the Head of the Microbiology & Biotechnology Department. Besides his clinical duties, Prof. Yasir Mufeed has pursued an extensive academic career, including teaching undergraduate medical and pharmacy students and supervising postgraduate Master's and PhD candidates in diagnostic Microbiology & Immunology. In 2012, Prof. Yasir Mufeed was appointed as the Head of the Clinical Laboratory Department at Pharmacy College/ Anbar University. In 2019, he was assigned as the head of the Clinical Pharmacy department. Today, he is the head of the Microbiology department in the College of Medicine/ University of Anbar.

Socially, Prof. Yasir Mufeed is married and has three daughters. His outdoor hobbies are billiards and Cycling. He speaks two different languages besides his native Arabic language.
