                                  The difference between Semantics and pragmatics

Pragmatics, like semantics, deals with meaning. Semantics deals with the literal meaning of words and sentence is its unit Pragmatics, on the other hand, relates the invisible or the intended speaker meaning, and utterance is its unit.

 Language is a way of communicating meaning and executing an event, whether spoken or written. Language encourages individuals to express their ideas, feelings, emotions and expectations (Wierzbicka, 1992).

Sentences are classified into four categories with respect to the function: (statements, questions, commands and exclamations) Headline manufacturers coin headlines depending on the purpose of the sentence in order to express their specific and succinct information, according to functional categorizations of sentences (Metz, 2005)
