Biography

Born in Al-Anbar Province, Iraq, on October 7, 1995, A. A. Nafea currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Anbar, located in Ramadi, Iraq.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2020, following the completion of his Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Anbar in 2017.

His research interests span a wide range of contemporary topics in computer science, including data science, deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, computer vision, reinforcement learning, data analysis, statistical techniques, data preprocessing, big data, and linear algebra. He possesses strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and is proficient in using advanced analytical tools and artificial intelligence applications in various research contexts.

He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed scientific papers published in internationally recognized journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate. As an active member of the academic community, he has served as a reviewer for more than 100 scientific papers in Clarivate-indexed journals. His academic excellence has been recognized with several awards and honors, including the Medal of Honor and Distinction from the National University of Malaysia in 2020. He was ranked among the top 15% of academic achievers globally across the top 400 international universities, according to statistics published by the Golden Key International Honour Society.

In 2022, he won second place in the national "Warth Al-Anbiyaa AI Applications Competition" in Iraq, for his outstanding scientific project titled "Early Detection of Diseases and Pests in Various Crops and Plants", selected from among 94 research projects submitted by public and private universities across Iraq.

He is an honorary member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and a member of the Iraqi Forum for Elites and Competencies. He also holds official membership in the ARID scientific platform for Arabic-speaking scholars and experts, where he was awarded the “Initiative Researcher” and “Active Participant in ARID Scientific Events” medals in 2022. His ARID researcher ID is ARID.MY/0007-1112.
