Biography

Dr. Harith Al-Najjar earned his Ph.D. from Alexandria University - Department of Environmental Studies. His research focuses on assessing the health impacts of environmental pollutants, with particular interest in analyzing patterns of diseases linked to environmental factors, especially those related to pollution.

He has published several peer-reviewed scientific papers in reputable international journals indexed in global databases, including:

  • A study on crude and age-standardized cancer patterns and trends in Iraq from 2010 to 2015.
  • Research on cancer and childhood in Iraq during the years 2010–2015.
  • A series of studies on indoor and outdoor air quality and its relationship to health, indexed in Scopus.

In addition to his research activities, Dr. Al-Najjar teaches several academic courses, including:

  • Environmental Safety and Health.
  • Management and Treatment of Solid Waste.
  • Fundamentals of Environmental Pollution.

Through his academic and research work, he aims to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing qualified professionals capable of addressing health and environmental challenges locally and globally. He also strives to equip graduates with comprehensive understanding of environmental and health issues, enabling them to become active and influential contributors within the Iraqi labor market.
