Biography

I am Zahraa Abdulkarim Hajij, a teacher who obtained a bachelor's degree in Arabic language from the Iraqi University/Faculty of Education for Girls in 2019. I pursued my postgraduate studies at the same university and obtained a master's degree in Arabic literature in 2022, and my specialisation was Andalusian literature, which occupied my scientific interest because of its multiple cultural, cultural and aesthetic dimensions.

In 2024, I was appointed to the staff of Anbar University - College of Basic Education/Haditha, with the title of teaching assistant, where I teach in the Department of Arabic Language. Through my academic work, I seek to contribute to raising the level of students, developing their abilities in the fields of language and literature, and building their critical and aesthetic awareness.

I am currently pursuing my doctoral studies within the Arabic Literature/Andalusian Literature programme at the Iraqi University/Faculty of Education for Girls, and I have reached the research stage, where I am working on a thesis that seeks to provide a modern analytical and critical reading of the Andalusian text, by revealing its deep structure and implicit cultural patterns.

I believe that combining scientific research and teaching is the essence of academic work, and I constantly endeavour to employ the tools of the contemporary critical method in the service of literary studies and contribute to the development of the knowledge field of the Arabic language and literature
