Biography

Amer J. Al-ani received B.Sc. (2nd Class Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering Department from the University of Anbar - Iraq in 2004 and M.Sc. degree in Thermal Power from the University of Technology - Iraq in 2009. He received a PhD degree in thermofluids engineering from the School of Mechanical Engineering-the University of Leeds - UK in 2016.

He is currently researching Optimum Design of Heat Transfer Enhancement Techniques (ODoHTETs) with Renewable Energy Research Centre. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles related to this topic. Also, he is a dependent reviewer in: Elsevier, ASME, Springer, Wiley and other Journals & International Conferences with more than 60 verified peer reviews. Besides, he has taught and led a range of Thermofluids and Mathematics modules within the Mechanical Engineering Department & Chemical Engineering Department - University of Anbar, Iraq.

My research is focusses on Optimum Design of Heat Transfer Enhancement Techniques (ODoHTETs), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Optimum Design. These include Laminar and Turbulent Flows within Natural and Forced Convection Heat Transfer, Electronics Thermal Design & Management and Solar Thermal Energy. I have published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles in these areas. In addition, one of my basic interests is Thermofluids and Mathematics subjects of mechanical engineering education.
