An educational seminar on the status of women in Islam and the prohibition of violence against them

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Anbar, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the Presidency of the University, in cooperation with the College of Science, held an educational symposium entitled ((The status of women in Islam and the prohibition of violence against them)) at the Jaber Bin Hayan Hall in the college, on Wednesday 2022/ 12/7 on the occasion of the International Day of Violence against Women, where the symposium included two axes

The first axis is a lecture given by Prof. Dr. Akram Obaid Freih / College of Islamic Sciences. The lecture was about the importance of women and their role in society and Islam honoring and appreciating women because they are the basis of society and by which societies are built and the evidence for the prohibition of violence against women in Islam

As for the second axis, it included a lecture given by Dr. Wissam Quhair Al-Rawi / College of Science. The lecture dealt with the importance of women in society and types of violence such as domestic, social and political violence, and how Islam dealt with violence against women, how Islam dealt with the phenomenon of violence, what types of violence against women are, and what are the results Violence against women, its causes and motives.

For his part, the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Salman Obaid to the organizers of this symposium, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the lecturers for the valuable information they provided.

The Dean honored the lecturers with a certificate of appreciation in their honor.
