Biography

Dr Tareq Al-Fahdawi is the Head of the Security Studies and Community Department at the University of Anbar Centre for Strategic Studies in Iraq. He is an expert in International Law and Security with a solid academic background, including a PhD in International Law from Macquarie University in Sydney- Australia, a Master of Intelligence from the Department of Security Studies and Criminology at Macquarie University- Australia, a Master of International Law from the National University of Malaysia and a Bachelor of Law from Fallujah Law Faculty in Iraq. Dr Al-Fahdawi's research interests span various topics in international law and security studies, including international humanitarian law, international criminal law, constitutional law, human rights, international security, peacebuilding and counterintelligence. He is passionate about exploring the intersection of International Law and Security. He is dedicated to contributing to the academic community by producing innovative research and fostering a deeper understanding of the complex legal and security issues that affect our world.
