Hematological , Immunological and hormonal alterations associated  with chronic lymphocytic leukemia

This study was conducted Due to the importance of increasing the incidence conditions of B-CLL that requiring accurate knowledge of the biology behind the pathogenesis and risks of this disease for each individual patient. The present study was designed to evaluate clinical characteristics ,   immunophenotyping hematological ,immunophenotyping markers ,  and some hormonal and biochemical alterations as new prognostic and diagnostic factors which may be useful in understanding pathogenesis and development of this disease.

The present study was concluded that the prevalence of B-CLL in males was significantly higher compared to the females and the study also suggested that the clinical characteristics, hematological parameters (White blood cells count , Lymphocytes % , Neutrophils %, Monocytes % , Red blood cells count , Hemoglobin concentration, Hematocrit, Mean corpuscular hemoglobin ,Mean corpuscular volume, and Platelet), immunophenotyping markers (CD200, CD47) , some hormonal alterations (Adiponectin , Visfatin, Subfatin, Hepcidin and Erythropoietin) as well as some biochemical alterations (Malondialdehyde , Total Antioxidant Capacity, Vitamin E and Vitamin D) that may have an important role as predictive indicators for the pathogenesis of B-CLL as well as the development of this disease and they may have a role in potential target for therapy of newly diagnosed B-CLL patients.
