Building Bridges of Scientific and Academic Cooperation with Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Keen on building constructive cooperation with discreet scientific institutions, and in implementation of the strategic plan of the University of Anbar to elevate its status globally and regionally, and to enhance its position in international rankings, the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, has signed a memorandum of understanding with his counterpart, Prof. Sari Al-Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University. This memorandum aims to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation frameworks, exchange expertise, conduct joint research, and participate in supervising postgraduate theses and dissertations as well as participating in applying for international grants, including the European Union grants. The memorandum also includes an invitation to participate in scientific conferences, forums and seminars.

For his part, the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University expressed his great pleasure at signing this memorandum due to the scientific and academic status the University of Anbar enjoys locally, regionally and internationally, reinforcing its position at the forefront of international rankings at the level of Iraq, including the famous British Times Ranking. 

The President of the University of Anbar expressed his gratitude and pleasure with this visit, stressing that the University opens all doors for scientific and academic cooperation with Al-Ahliyya Amman University being the oldest Jordanian private university, and the only university included in international rankings with an influential position. He instructed all University faculties to activate this memorandum for the interest of all parties and our dear country. The delegation also paid visits to the College of Dentistry, the College of Nursing, and the College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, and expressed their importance in simulating the labor market and employing graduates  

The delegation consisted of Prof. Dr. Nihad Mohamed Abboud, Director of the Center for Desert Studies and a representative of the research centers at the University, Prof. Dr. Qutaiba Farhan Dawood, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Prof. Dr. Duraid Moayed Abd, Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the Presidency of the University, and Prof. Dr. Omar Khaldoun Abdel Rahman, Head of the Global Rankings Unit.
