Granting the University of Anbar Full, Unconditional Institutional Accreditation at the Five-Star Level

With great pride and honor, the Presidency of the University of Anbar, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Salih Al-Neda, is pleased to announce to the academic community, the Iraqi society at large, and the Anbar community in particular, the issuance of the ministerial order granting the University of Anbar Full, Unconditional Institutional Accreditation at the Five-Star Level for a period of five years, from November 12, 2024, through November 11, 2029. This national and academic achievement reflects the distinguished scientific standing attained by the University and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the highest standards of quality and academic accreditation.

This achievement represents the culmination of years of systematic institutional work, strategic planning, and continuous development, as well as steadfast adherence to the standards of quality, governance, and institutional excellence, placing the University of Anbar among the leading Iraqi universities that have achieved the highest levels of institutional accreditation.

The President of the University of Anbar explained that the issuance of the ministerial order, signed by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdulhussein Aziz Ahmed, granting the University of Anbar Full, Unconditional Institutional Accreditation at the highest professional level, signifies that the University has fulfilled the highest requirements of the Iraqi Council for Institutional Accreditation and demonstrated its competence across all areas of evaluation, without the need for any additional conditions or requirements. This represents the highest level that can be awarded by the competent authorities.

This accreditation confirms that the University of Anbar:

• Maintains an integrated administrative and academic system in accordance with international best practices.
• Implements a robust system for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates effective institutional governance and transparency in performance.
• Provides a sustainable, high-quality educational and research environment.
• Possesses a clear strategic vision aligned with national development requirements and international standards.
• Enhances opportunities for academic recognition at both the national and international levels and strengthens the competitiveness of its graduates and academic programs.

Achieving the Five-Star Level constitutes official recognition of institutional excellence and demonstrates that the University of Anbar has become a national model for quality and academic accreditation.

On this distinguished occasion, the President of the University of Anbar extends his deepest gratitude and appreciation to all members of the University community, including the members of the University Council and college councils, directors of research and service centers, departments, divisions, and affiliated and independent units, as well as faculty members, employees, and all administrative and technical staff, in recognition of their exceptional efforts, teamwork, dedication, and commitment to duty, which played a pivotal role in achieving this national accomplishment.

Special thanks and appreciation are also extended to the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Presidency of the University of Anbar, including its director and staff, which efficiently and professionally led all stages of preparation, follow-up, documentation, and coordination with the national committees, until these efforts culminated in obtaining “Full, Unconditional Institutional Accreditation at the Five-Star Level.”
