Dr. Muhammad Salah Ibrahim Al-Obaidi completed his PhD in 2021 at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, USA. He has been a dedicated faculty member at the College of Computer Science since 2011. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned a master’s degree from the University of Anbar’s College of Computer Science, where he graduated with top honors, receiving a certificate of distinction for being the highest-ranked student in his class. Dr. Al-Obaidi’s research interests are broad, spanning Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing (NLP), machine understanding, and machine learning. He has contributed extensively to these fields through numerous published research papers. His academic work seeks to advance the understanding and application of computational techniques in real-world scenarios. In addition to his research, Dr. Al-Obaidi has taught a variety of courses in computer science, including AI Applications, Expert Systems, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Graphics, and Data Structures & Algorithms. He is passionate about mentoring students and has supervised numerous fourth-year student projects. These projects have included innovative work such as developing systems for disease identification based on symptoms and managing car evaluation systems, reflecting his commitment to fostering practical problem-solving skills among his students.
