Within the activities of the Department of Applied Geology in the College of Science for the development of postgraduate studies, the department conducted a field tour in Heet- Hadeetha areas with master's students and hosting expert geologist Dr. Nahidh Ma'roof.  

The tour aims to develop students' ability to field work by studying the geomorphological aspects and the geological formation of the region while noting the formative effect on the area in order to be able to benefit from it in projects of preparing a master's thesis and selecting the research topic.

Students were trained on how to choose sections, modeling and interpreting phenomena in each region, with determining the boundaries between configurations and their extensions and determining their geological age.The department seeks to develop students' awareness of the  the profession of geologist and its field application and strive to support the national economy.
