Studying the possibility of introducing a doctoral study in the Department of Applied Geology

 The College of Science at Anbar University received a ministerial delegation headed by Prof. Dr. Omar Sabah Ibrahim, in order to review the financial and scientific capabilities of the college, in preparation for establishing a doctoral study in the Department of Applied Geology.

The ministerial delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour and a number of faculty members in the Department of Applied Geology. The delegation toured the department's classrooms, laboratories and workshops, where they were briefed on their modern equipment and rich scientific resources.
Dr. Omar Sabah Ibrahim gave a speech in which he praised the capabilities of the College of Science, and stressed the importance of introducing doctoral studies in the Department of Applied Geology, to fill the shortage of specialized cadres in this field.
The ministerial delegation discussed with the Dean of the College and faculty members in the Department of Applied Geology the requirements for establishing a doctoral study, which included providing qualified teaching staff, equipping laboratories with modern equipment and providing scientific resources to help create the opportunity to complete scientific research for students.
The meeting came out with an agreement
Forming a joint committee of representatives of the Ministry and the University to develop a work plan to develop a doctoral study in the Department of Applied Geology through the financial and technical support necessary to develop the study.
This visit is considered an important step towards the introduction of doctoral studies in the Department of Applied Geology at the College of Science at Anbar University, in order to meet the needs of the labor market in Iraq for specialized cadres in this field.
