A research team from the College of Science publishes research in an international journal, Q1

The research team consisting of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Karim Talak, Assistant Professor Dr. Khalil Thabet Al-Fatean and Master’s student Dhurgham Ali Hameed from the Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics in the College of Science, Anbar University, published the tagged scientific research

Improvement of thermal conductivity of novel asymmetric dimeric coumarin liquid crystal by doping with boron nitride and aluminum oxide nanoparticles

In the International Journal   (Materials Chemistry and Physics)

With an impact factor of 4.788 and a site score of 7, which falls within the first quarter, knowing that the research is derived from a master's thesis.

The research included preparing and studying the structural properties of liquid crystals prepared from coumarin, in addition to mixing them with aluminum oxide nanoparticles and boron nitrate nanosheets, and studying the structural properties, thermal behavior and thermal conductivity in order to manufacture liquid crystal composites characterized by their high thermal conductivity while preserving their original properties. The study showed impressive results that encourage the use of these composites in special electronic applications such as photonic systems and solar energy receivers.
