A Memorandum of Understanding with Mutah University/Jordan

In continuation of the visit of our University official delegation to Jordanian universities headed by the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of Mutah University, Prof. Dr. Salama Al-Naimat. In accordance with this memorandum, visits will be exchanged between faculty members, laboratory technicians, and students in the field of science, engineering, computing, agriculture and other common disciplines. The memorandum also allows faculty members to participate in joint supervision on theses and dissertations, in addition to participating in viva committees, as well as the active participation in applying for research and academic international grants. Al-Nida emphasized the University’s enthusiasm for building bridges of full scientific, research and academic cooperation with all institutions at Mutah University, including the invitation to participate in conferences, scientific seminars, forums and joint international research cooperation.

For his part, Dr. Salama Al-Naimat expressed his great pleasure in signing this memorandum due to the scientific and academic status the University of Anbar enjoys locally, in the Arab world and internationally, as this was clearly evident through its position at the forefront of international rankings at the level of Iraq, including the British Times Ranking.

In a related context, the President of the University of Anbar expressed his deep gratitude and pleasure with this visit, stressing that the University of Anbar opens all doors for scientific and academic cooperation with Mutah University. He also emphasized that signing this memorandum strengthens the legal frameworks for academic cooperation that began last year with Mutah University, being one of the most prominent Arab universities, which occupies advanced positions in the British Times and QS Ranking Systems.

A high-esteemed delegation attended the signing of the memorandum, consisting of Prof. Dr. Nihad Mohamed Abboud, Director of the Desert Studies Center and a representative of the research centers at the University, Prof. Dr. Qutayba Farhan Daoud, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Dr. Duraid Moayed Abd, Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department, and Dr. Omar Khaldoon Abdul Rahman, Head of the Global Rankings Unit.
