The Russian RUR has released the results of the 2025 World University Rankings, positioning University of Anbar in 4th among Iraqi public universities and 932nd globally. The Russian RUR ranking is determined by four primary criteria: education, scientific research, international diversity, and financial sustainability. The classification of universities is organised into four primary scientific disciplines: medical sciences, life sciences, technical sciences, and natural sciences. This signifies notable advancement in the university’s performance, accomplished through the execution of robust scientific strategies designed to enhance the academic and research environment. It addresses overcoming the challenges encountered in prior years, propelling the institution towards the objective of competing with international universities across all academic and scientific domains. On this occasion, the university president, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Saleh Al-Nida, extended his congratulations to all university members for the progress made in the university’s ranking within recognised & credible classifications. His excellency emphasised that the advancement of research and academic initiatives at the university has significantly contributed to achieving high standings in various international rankings. This serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts and effective synergy between the leaderships in the university presidency and deanships, along with the broader university community.
