Final of the Dean of the College of Science Football Championship
In the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mishal Muhammad, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and a number of department heads, teachers, and students, the Dean of the College of Science Cup concluded on Wednesday, with the open football tournament for students, in which students participated. It includes teams from all scientific departments.
The final match brought together the Chemistry Department team and the Biology Department team in an exciting and equal match, which ended with the Biology Department winning with a clean goal, scored by student Laith Thamer in the second half to end the match with his team getting first place and the Chemistry Department team getting second place.
The match was held at the university stadium, amidst a large crowd and enthusiastic encouragement from the students, who expressed their interest and interaction with the tournament, and praised the technical level and sportsmanship of the participating teams. The title of top scorer in the tournament was won by the student Laith Thamer from the Biology Department, while the best goalkeeper was the student Mahmoud Mukhaybar from the Biology Department, and the best player in the tournament was won by the student Walid Khaled from the Biology Department as well.
