Asst. inst. Wissam Dhari Jalal, a teaching staff member at the College of Sciences, Dept. of Physics, Anbar University, has managed to register a patent in the field of laser and electrophoresis (medical field), where a new system of high-resolution laser spectroscopy was designed to diagnose kidney stones. In this study, a high-precision spectroscopic method was found to identify the elements involved in the formation of the kidney stones and determine their proportions quickly, accurately, easily and directly without using  reagents used in the traditional methods that require chemical materials and consume a long period of time and with a  low accuracy. This study has also showed that the analysis of the components of kidney stones is a qualitative test to find out what chemicals are in them that can be directed to medication and give accurate information that may prevent further stones formation.
