The second national championship for Mental Arithmetic

 Under the patronage of the Honorable President of Anbar University, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, and under the direct supervision of the Honorable Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Ismat Ramzi Abdel Ghafour, and in cooperation between the Department of Mathematics in the College of Science and the Knowledge Environment Center for Training and Development, the second National Soroban and Mental Mathematics Championship was held in the College of Science Hall. Ibn Sina. 70 male and female students participated in the age groups from 7 to 16 years from various Iraqi governorates. The tournament included three levels of questions, including the introductory level, the first level, and the second level. Each level had 200 questions, and each question had 5 arithmetic operations distributed between addition, subtraction, and multiplication, and it was time to solve the questions. 15 minutes: The first contestant finished solving all the questions within 7 minutes and 25 seconds, and the second contestant finished in 7 minutes and 50 seconds. The tournament was attended by the Director of the Media and Public Relations Department, a number of teachers, and parents of the participating students.
