The public discussion of a master's student (Duraid Khalil Ibrahim)

The public discussion of the master's student (Duraid Khalil Ibrahim), Department of Biology - College of Science – University of Anbar, took place on Sunday 11/7/2021 at the Jaber Bin Hayyan Hall in the College of Science about his thesis:

Assessment of Multidrug -Resistant of Clinical Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolates and Its Relationship with Biofilm Forming Genes

The study aims to evaluate the role of biofilm formation genes in regulating the multidrug-resistant antibiotics produced by clinical isolates of Pseudomonas. The results revealed that most isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa forming biofilms have different effect on antibiotic resistance. As well as there are a variation of genotypic patterns of biofilm production capacity algD, pelF and pslD in MDR local P. aeruginosa clinical isolates, also, the highest percentage of P. aeruginosa antibiotic resistance was 62% towards Ceftazidime(CAZ) and the lowest was 10% against Imipenem(IPM). Most isolates of P. aeruginosa were the highest production of biofilm.

And after extensive discussion by the committee members with the student of his thesis, the thesis was accepted.

Congratulations to the student, the supervisor, the College of Science, and the discussion committee.
